Obituary of Angus McPherson
Angus David McPherson of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the age of 72 years.
Angus was born in Fort Simpson, NWT. He began his career as radio operator for the Department of Defence and later worked for many years as an electronic technologist. Angus served as supervisor for ten years with the avionics department for Dome Petroleum as well as project manager of Microwave Communications with the Alliance Pipeline. Angus was an avid reader and was always interested in learning. He was a quiet, gentle man who accepted all of life’s challenges and never complained about anything. He was a happy and content man and especially loved to engage in conversations about philosophy.
Angus is survived by his children, Barry McPherson and Laureen Harvey, Laurie McPherson and Ricardo Monteiro and Robert McPherson; grandson, Keefe McPherson-Monteiro and granddaughter Rowan McPherson-Monteiro; ex-wife Veronica McPherson; brothers, Ed, John and Walter McPherson and Barry (Shirley) Harley; sisters, Florence Thomas, Mavis and Lorna Harley.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
