Obituary of Marion Jean Halliwell

Marion Jean Halliwell, beloved wife of William Halliwell of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007 surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 73 years. Marion was born in Osnabruck Township, ON. She will be remembered for her love of God and willing spirit. Marion was actively involved in First Baptist Church; she spent her life helping and serving others and was involved in many women’s groups. Marion was a devoted wife, mother and a dedicated friend who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Marion is survived by Bill, her best friend and loving husband of forty-six years; her children, Cathy and Ryan Geake, Bill and Barbara (nee Novak) Halliwell, Janice Halliwell of Edmonton, AB and Nancy Halliwell; her grandchildren, Brynn, Hannah, Sarah, Billy, and Simon; her siblings, Leara Kingston of Prescott, ON, Maurice Warner of Vancouver, BC, Ivan Warner of Stittsville, ON, and Jack Warner of Ottawa, ON. She was predeceased by her parents Milton and Verna Warner, and siblings, Sterling, Hilton, Merritt, Clare Warner, and Florence Smith. Thank you to the many friends who visited Marion and a special thank you to the staff at the Forest Grove Care Centre who compassionately cared for her over the past six months.
