It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppina Maggipinto on Christmas Day, 2007, in her 69th year, surrounded by her loving family. Giuseppina touched the hearts of many with her thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity. Her beautiful smile and caring and giving nature will always be remembered. She was a hard working woman who dedicated her life to family and friends and made it her priority to remember and celebrate all of their special occasions and events. While battling her cancer, Giuseppina’s strength and courage was an inspiration for all who were blessed to have known her Beloved wife of Paolo, precious mother and mother-in-law of Giovanni and his wife Marjory, and Michael and his wife Lorraine. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Tony, Madeline, Gabriel and great granddaughter, Savannah. She is survived by seven brothers and sisters residing in Canada and Belgium, Carmela, Maria Antonietta, Giuseppe, Nicola, Assunta, Cristina and Amalia, all of who will miss her dearly. She will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends living in Canada, Italy and Belgium. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at CHR Home Care and Agape Hospice for making her final days as comfortable as possible. The family is extremely grateful for the superior care, attention and compassion that was provided by the caregivers who were a part of Giuseppina’s final days.
