Obituary of Dorothy Danis

Dorothy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in Calgary at the age of 60 years. Dorothy was born in Toronto, ON, raised in CFB Shilo, MB and lived in Brandon, MB, where she married her husband Moe. Dorothy was a promising figure skater in her youth, and very active as a Brownie Leader, Girl Guide Leader and Pathfinder Leader. She was Past Honoured Royal Lady of the Royal Purple of Canada, in Kamloops, BC. Besides Moe her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Dorothy is survived by her daughter Shannon and son Brian (Ruby); grandchildren McKayla, Curtis, Travis and Jacob and her mother Gladys. Dorothy is also remembered by her brothers and sisters Fred (Corinne), Judy, Jo-Anne (Wade), David, Cindy, Kelly (Colin), Rhonda and also by numerous nephews and nieces. Dorothy was predeceased by her son Trevor; father James Whitmore; brothers Michael and Ron.
