Obituary of John Joseph Morrison

John Joseph Morrison of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the age of 84 years. John was born in Calgary on October 26, 1923. Attending schools for the deaf in both Winnipeg and Montreal, he forged many lifelong friendships. In 1955 John married Margaret Ferrier and together they settled in Calgary where they raised their three children. Although he enjoyed working at many different jobs throughout his life, his family always came first. John is survived by his daughter Jayne Pettifor of Wetaskwin, AB; two sons Eric Morrison of Denver, CO, Brad and Diane Morrison of Calgary; grandchildren, Cole, Fraser and Caitlin Pettifor; Nicole and Andrew Morrison, Robert and Danielle Morrison; and sister Betty Blacklaws of Calgary. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, son-in-law Patrick Pettifor, and daughter-in-law Debbie Morrison and by four brothers and two sisters.
