Obituary of Michaylina Marshall

Michaylina (Mike/Emma) Marshall (nee Yarmoluk) of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Mike was born and raised in Edmonton’s Riverdale Flats. She married her first husband, oilman Bill Saffold in 1948 and they moved to Calgary in 1958. An avid golfer, Mike joined Earl Grey Golf Club in 1958 where she was four times Club Champion, twice Senior Club Champion, as well as Alberta Senior Champion (1969). Mike married her second husband Ross Marshall in 1978. Mike is lovingly remembered by her “son” Tony Cain of Victoria, BC; sister-in-law Dorothy Mair of Calgary; nieces, Colleen Noble of Edmonton, AB, Margaret Forgie of Richmond, BC and Lynne Stevenson of Victoria; nephew Tony Marshall (Penny); and great-nieces, Keri and Megan Marshall, all of Aldersyde and Flora Cain of Edmonton. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends across Canada, the U.S. and England She is greatly missed by CeCe. Mike was predeceased by her first husband Bill in 1973 and her second husband Ross in 1987; parents Bessie and Fred Yarmoluk; and siblings, Peter, Paul, Mary, and Mike.
