Obituary of Florence Alma Nelson

After a long, full and healthy life, my mother and best friend, Florence Nelson passed away suddenly in Calgary on Monday, December 5, 2007 at the grand age of 92 years. Mom was born on January 18, 1915 in Wetaskiwin, AB and she married Louie Nelson on November 3, 1945 in Burnaby, BC, where she resided until 1992, she then moved to Calgary for her remaining years. My mom will be remembered for her gentle nature, generous heart, her kindness and understanding, her determination to be independent and active throughout her life and the special attitude she had towards life. We will miss you Mom. Love Always. Florence is survived by her only child, Donna and her cherished son-in-law Roger Brett of Calgary. She is also survived by too numerous to mention nieces and nephews dear to her heart. Florence was predeceased by her husband Louie of Burnaby, BC, by her sister’s Mary Larson of Wetaskiwin, AB, Margaret Anderson of Red Deer, AB and Doris Strome of Burnaby, BC.
