Obituary of Anne Brown
Anne Brown beloved wife of James of Calgary passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the age of 84.
Anne was born on August 29, 1923 in Lowe Farm, Manitoba to Agatha Hiebert and Henry Friesen. Throughout many years Anne ventured through many different provinces starting in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, British Columbia then finally retiring in Alberta.
Anne was married to James on June 22, 1946 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked hard daily as a great mother and a homemaker, then later worked at Heritage Park and the Goodwins Store at Hay River, Northwest Territories. Anne loved her wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne and James had gone to Holland for a veteran’s reunion. Anne will always be remembered for her baking that she loved to give away, quilting, knitting, playing cards and doing the wonder words from the Sun.
Besides her loving husband, James she is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Kelvin and Kim Brown, two daughters and two sons-in-law; Donalda and Lyle Spearing and Sharon and Larry Matusik. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren all of Calgary.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday December 20, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Anne may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
