Obituary of Mary Helen Inamasu
Mary Helen Inamasu of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the age of 99 years.
Mary was born on July 17, 1908 in Calgary, the oldest of eight children born to Masae and Kemo Inamasu. She was the secretary-treasurer for the Calgary Separate School Board for thirty-five years. Mary retired for a short while then began working for Marshall and Dunlevy Printers for another fifteen years. She maintained and enjoyed an active lifestyle in her later years. Mary enjoyed travelling immensely, especially her trips with Albert to Las Vegas.
Besides her loving brother, Albert, Mary is also survived by her niece Marian (Ronald) Heisey and their family Dawn (Joe) Bracket; Brent (Kelli) Heisey and their daughter Emma; Helen O’Brien’s family Maile (Ron) Hunt and their children Hailey and Brandon; Margaret Faust and Michael O’Brien. Mary is also survived her sister-in-law Sue Inamasu and her family Gary (Sandra) Inamasu and their daughter Katarina and Kevin (Dana) Inamasu. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Jim, Pat, George, Harry and Cecile Inamasu, Margaret Tanouye and a niece Helen O’Brien.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, December 14, 2007 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral (219 – 18th Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:00 noon.
