Obituary of David Antonius
David Robert Wilmar Antonius, beloved son of Shirley and Bob of Carstairs, passed away tragically in the early morning on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the age of 30 years.
Dave was born September 2, 1977 in Vancouver. He lived in Langley, B.C. until 1985 when his family moved to Airdrie. When he was fourteen he played for the Hill Toppers Bantom Football League. Dave attended Bert Church High School where he played on the Chargers football team when they won the provincial championship. Football became a major part of Dave’s life. Lately he was playing with the Wolf Pack team men’s league and had participated as an extra in movies, most recently in the movie Passchendaele, which he was in from the beginning.
Besides his loving parents, Shirley and Robert, Dave is also survived by his brother Michael and sister Catherine. Dave will also be missed by his aunts and uncles, Dave O’Donahue (Brenda) of Edmonton; Ken and Lori O’Donahue of Crossfield; Don O’Donahue of Edmonton; Joe O’Donahue of Edmonton; cousins Bob (Laura) Ratslaff; Jason; Melanie; Winnie; Dawn; Lucas and Emma Lee as well as extended family and friends. Dave was predeceased by his grandparents Wilmar and Steina Antonius, and Catherine and Arnold O’Donahue, and his aunt, Judith Carol Ratslaff.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home (300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, Alberta) on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 1:00 P.M.
