Obituary of Donald Laycraft

Don Laycraft of Calgary, passed away at the Red Deer Hospital after a brief battle with Lung Cancer on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Don was born on April 1, 1940 and his love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors will be remembered by his many family and friends. Don is survived by his two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Alison of Calgary; and Gregory and Shandell of Langdon, three grand-daughters, Shae-Lynn of Calgary, Marina and Madison of Langdon. Don will be missed by his loving companion and friend Doreen Waseluk and her family of The Spruce View area. He is also survived by his sister Norma Fraser of Exshaw; niece Donel (Del) Bryck; nephew Ken (Shelley) Fraser; niece Jodi (Devin) Batty and several grand nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his wife of 34 years Shirley Laycraft (nee Perry), his father Homer Laycraft, mother Agnes Laycraft (nee MacKenzie), and his brother-in-law Donald Fraser. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, December 13, 2007 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
