Obituary of Grace Z. Moore
Grace Z. Moore (nee Church), beloved wife of Glenn Leroy of Creston, B.C., passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the age of 92 years.
After a rich and full life, our wonderful mother, grandmother, and great aunt, Grace passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. Grace was born on December 1, 1915 to Roy and Sue Church in Carmangay, Alberta. She married Glenn Moore on January 15, 1940 who predeceased her in March 1987.
She taught for many years in rural schools in Southern Alberta, moved to Creston in 1963 and continued teaching there until her retirement. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served a term as Worthy Grand Matron.
In 2001 she moved to Victoria Park in Red Deer, then in 2005 moved to the Beverley Centre in Calgary until her passing. The Moore family would like to thank the staff at the Midnapore Beverly Centre and Red Deer Victoria Park for all their kindness and care.
Grace will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Glenda, her sons Terry (Bonnie) and Richard (Linda), her nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Grace leaves her family and friends with many wonderful memories.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Internment and a Graveside Service will be held in Creston, B.C. in May 2008, date and time to be determined.
