Obituary of Margaret Lorraine Rider

We are greatly saddened by the loss of our beloved mother, Margaret Lorraine Rider, on Friday, December 7, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Margaret was born in Calgary on June 19, 1952. She enjoyed travelling to Pow-Wows and believed in all traditional ceremonies. Lorraine also enjoyed her Sunday Bible Study with Pastor Steve DeFord and family. She also has numerous relatives in Sarcee, Hobbema, and Morley. She leaves behind her Common-Law husband, Charles Francis, and a special grandson Matthew Rider. She is also remembered by her children; sons, Jeremy and Cedric; daughters, Renata and Verlyna; and five Grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She also leaves behind her sisters; Valerie, Patsy, Annette, Lynette, Jacqueline, Amelia, Dianne, Irene; Aunts, Gwen, Stella, Lavina, Clara, Yvonne; her adopted children Corinna (Stacey) House, Harrum (Sam) Smalleyes, and Brennon Labelle; along with adopted nephew Bruce (Nan) Wesley Beaver; Nieces, Ora, Jeannete, Caroline, Lawrenia and Vanessa. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Margaret Rider and Charles Francis on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Morley Schools Gymnasium on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
