Obituary of Leona Kenny

Leona Kenny, beloved wife of Cyril Kenny of Calgary, formerly of Crossfield, passed away peacefully, to be with her Lord, at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the age of 94 years. Leona was born in Stavely, AB in 1913 and received her schooling at St. Mary’s Convent. She was a very determined spirit and one of the original pioneers in Crossfield, AB. Leona was a charter member of the Order of the Royal Purple in Crossfield as well as a past district deputy. Besides her loving husband Cyril, Leona is remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Phil Storms of Phoenix, AZ and her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Patricia English of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Kim, Doug, Laurie and Ronnie and great-grandchildren, Emilia, Allison, Amanda and Hana. She was predeceased by her first husband John English in 1988; one brother and three sisters. A Celebration of Leona’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
