Minoru Hashimoto of Calgary, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the age of 100 years.
Minoru Hashimoto was born in Misumi, Kumamoto, Japan on October 1, 1907. Minoru had an incredible zest for life and people. Everything he undertook he did with extreme passion. A man who was young at heart, he loved time spent with the Kotobuki Club, friends and especially his family. He was always willing to undertake any challenge and especially enjoyed perfecting and practising his many talents that included painting, carving and singing karaoke. Mr. Hashimoto was a member of the Kotobuki Kai, Karaoke Club where he enjoyed every meeting until he was one-hundred years old. In the past, he belonged to the Carving Group and served as an active member with the Calgary Buddhist Church.
The family would like to thank all who shared in the many “celebrations of Minoru’s life” honouring his one-hundred years. We will all cherish and remember the memories.
