Obituary of Joseph Louis Garrson

Joseph (Joe) L. Garrson of Calgary passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Joe was born in Calgary at the General Hospital on February 2, 1920, the only son of Elsie and Joseph Garrsino and brother to Juliette and Odette all of whom have predeceased Joe. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and faithful friend whom along with his loving wife marguerite who passed on in 1998, instilled the values he learned in life in the loving family he left behind. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the shipmates he sailed with in the navy. Joe is survived by his son Joseph A. Garrson; two daughters and one son-in-law Tierra Bickerton (Ron Hanoski) and Sherry and Marvin Taylor; as well as ten grandchildren Kerrie, Crystal, Nicole, Brad, Tyler, Riley, Tannis, Jeff, Beth and Joseph J. Joe is also survived by his special friend Jean Forester. A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle, N.W.) on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
