Obituary of Eva Hedwig Dena Wegener

Eva Wegener of Airdrie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the age of 103. Eva was born in Ledgerwood, North Dakota on September 1, 1904. At age four, her family migrated to Alberta where Eva spent the remainder or her life. Eva spent most of her years in Beiseker, where she worked as an accountant and became a very successful businesswoman. She was a great cook, an avid gardener and a passionate sports fan. She spent much of her later years watching Blue Jays baseball and curling and could discuss the games for hours. Eva is survived by several first, second and third generation nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to being a loving and generous daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her spirit, support and love will be missed by us all. A Celebration of Eva’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 10: 30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
