Obituary of Jean Louise Erickson
Jean Louise Erickson of Calgary passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the age of 80 years.
Jean was born on August 24, 1927 in Edmonton, AB, and was raised in Dog Pound, AB. She married Les on July 24, 1948 on the homestead. Les and Jean later moved to Calgary where they were long time residents. Jean was a school teacher for many years in the Calgary school system. She enjoyed square dancing and participated with Les as Square Dancers in the opening ceremonies in the 1988 Calgary Olympics.
Jean is survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Keith Erickson, and Randy and Josephine Erickson; and her daughter Nancy Erickson, all of Calgary. She is also survived by four grandchildren Steven, Freya, Brandon, and Brenda. Jean was predeceased by her husband Les on July 25, 2007, and two sisters Betty Mackenzie and Doris Erickson.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
