Obituary of Archibald Campbell Taylor

Archibald Taylor, beloved husband of Louise, of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Born in Winnipeg, MB on January 22, 1919, Cam served in the RCAF in Canada and overseas in WWII. He worked as a geophysicist in the oil patch and also at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Meanook, AB. Cam was an active member of St. David’s United Church and a proud member of Calgary Southwest Lion’s Club, as well as an avid lap swimmer. Besides his loving wife Louise, Cam is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Ronald and Barbara Taylor, Graeme and Claire Taylor; daughter and son-in-law Leslie and David Cropper; as well as his grandchildren Stacey, Matthew, Ben, Lauren, Evan and Alex. Cam is also survived by his sisters Lorna and Dorothy of Oceanside, CA, Joyce of Winnipeg, MB and Nora and Joan of Vancouver, BC. Cam was predeceased by his brother Frank. Funeral Services will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W.) on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
