Obituary of Eileen Smith

Eileen Eleanor Smith (Doenz) of Calgary passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the age of 84. Eileen was born in Warner, AB. After leaving the family farm, she worked at the Alberta Wheat Pool in Calgary, and in 1950 she married her husband Ted. Eileen and Ted were members of the Chinook Trailer Club, and in later years Eileen was an active member of the Varsity Community Association. She enjoyed working in her garden, but most of all, Eileen’s passion was shopping. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Eileen is survived by her daughter Lynne and son-in-law Wayne, and her grandchildren, Mason and Rowan. She is also survived by her sisters Annie and Lydia, both of Lethbridge, AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Ted, grandson Devin, brothers Irvine and Leo, and her sister Doris.
