Obituary of Chester Wiens
Chester Wiens beloved husband of Barb (The Princess) Wiens of Calgary, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the age of 60 years.
For the past thirty-six years Chester ran WP Telectronics. Up until the last few years he loved to golf, curl and for many years played fastball. Chester will be remembered for his wonderful personality, generosity, humour and his true love of family. Thanks to all the guys at Studio and Elks for the many years of laughs.
Besides his loving wife Barb, Chester is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Cam and Paula and T.J.; grandsons, Parker, Sheridan and Jakob; brothers, George (Betty), Lorenz (Shirley), Werner (Pearl), Dan (Marilyn) and Roger (Joyce); sisters, Leona (Jim), and Elvira; sisters-in-law Bernette and Joanne as well as many special nieces and nephews. Chester was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Justina Wiens; brothers Art and Ruben and brother-in-law John.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Private Family Graveside Service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the A.L.S. Society of Alberta (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Suite 400, 320 – 23 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2S 0J2. Thanks to the wonderful people at the A.L.S. Society for their kindness over the last few days.
