Obituary of Sheila Doris Poland
Sheila Doris Poland of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the age of 79 years.
Sheila was born on October 4, 1928 in Calgary and grew up in Drumheller. She traveled extensively throughout Europe with her husband, Jack, as part of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Sheila eventually settled in Calgary with her family, which was her passion. She was also a member of the Centennial Legion Branch No. 285.
Sheila is survived by her son Danny Poland and Teresa Schmaus of Turner Valley; her two daughters and son-in-law Cheryl and Ray Horvath of Turner Valley and Lenoir Dumais of Calgary; her grandchildren John, Adam, Dennis, Miranda, Jared Leanne and Timothy and her great-grandchildren Colten, Carsen, Morgan, Samantha, Amythyst, Wyatt and Morgan. Sheila is also survived by her two sisters Maureen Morrow of Drumheller and Jeannine Kovacs of Ontario. Sheila was predeceased by her husband Jack, her brother Ronnie and her sister Sharleen.
A Celebration of Sheila’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, November 23 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
