Obituary of Peter McCloskey

It is with much sadness that the family announces the death of Peter McCloskey beloved husband of Lillian McCloskey of Calgary, who passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the age of 83. Peter enjoyed talking with and learning about people. He also had a keen interest in “how things work”, especially involving building construction, social policy or current events. He had a generous nature; always willing to help others and he will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of style. Peter was in the RCAF from 1943 to 1945 and continued his love of flying for many years. He was in the plumbing and heating business until 1955, and then joined Simpson-Sears as a department store manager, working in various stores across Canada. In 1970 he joined Ontario Hydro and retired as Divisional Superintendent in 1989. Peter enjoyed flying, golfing, shuffle boarding in Florida, lacrosse, walking, playing bridge, and the many interesting conversations he had with friends.
