Obituary of Margaret Tayah Wallace
Margaret “Tayah” Wallace, of Calgary, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the age of 89 years.
Tayah was born in Killam, AB but spent most of her life in Calgary. She was active in many churches over her lifetime; Grace Presbyterian Church, St. Paul’s United Church, Westminster United Church and Living Spirit United Church. She loved to match people with books and took great pleasure in being “the Story Lady” at Connaught kindergarten. Tayah will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
Tayah is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Margie and Simon Brooksbank and Sandy Robson, all of Calgary; AB her two sons, Bill Wallace of Red Deer, AB and David Wallace of Vancouver, BC; six grandchildren, Jamey Kilb, Bryn (Christine) Kilb, Jodi (Paul) Jonke, Brad (Katie) Kilb, Garth (Julie) Robson and Eric Robson; and two great-grandchildren, Marcus and India Kilb. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Bea Jamieson of Calgary, AB
Tayah was predeceased by her beloved husband Geordie Wallace; two sisters Mary Dowler and Grace Humphrey; two brothers, Cameron Jamieson and Frank Jamieson.
Funeral Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 – 15th Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com
