Obituary of James Barton

James (Jim) Barton, beloved father of Joseph and Rebecca of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the age of 51 years. Jim was born in Etobicoke General Hospital in Toronto, ON, on January 22, 1956 to Martha and John Barton. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway all his life as a locomotive manager. In 1996 Jim moved to Alberta to be closer to his children, as he treasured his time spent with family and friends. Another love, music, led to many enjoyable hours playing his guitar. Jim is lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Tammy Barton; his daughter Rebecca Barton; parents Martha and John Barton; siblings Linda (Bill) Boyle, Ron (Dawn) Barton, Gerilee (Erin) Barton; sister-in-law Lois; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bob Barton.
