Obituary of Margaret Pearse
Margaret Pearse, beloved wife of John Pearse of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the age of 92 years.
Born to Alex and Jane Strachan on January 2, 1915, Margaret was the oldest of six. Born, raised and educated in Edmonton, she attended Normal School where she trained as a seamstress. Marge married Ranceford McDonald in 1935 and is survived by their son Roy (Linda) and grandsons, Cameron and Rob, and great-grandson Levi. Marge will be remembered by many Calder families through her work at community drug stores. She married John Pearse in June 1958. Together they led a wonderful life supported by an acquired family of six. Extensive cross-Canada trips and excursions to Great Britain filled their life away from their Namao acreage.
Marge is survived by sisters Babe Verville and June Meyers; her brother Jack (May) Strachan, and their families; stepchildren Jack (Doreen) Pearse, Evelyn (Donald) Griffiths, Dorothy (Rolf) Ungstead, Norma (Max) Keurbis; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
