Obituary of Giovanni Verardi

Giovanni Verardi beloved son of Battista and Caterina of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the age of 23. Giovanni was first and foremost a beautiful person with a heart that never stopped giving. He loved his family, camping, hunting and quadding. Giovanni was an avid sportsman with his true passion being hunting. He had impeccable precision with his bow and was a sure shot with his rifle. Giovanni also lived for his family, especially for his niece and nephew who will always remember him as “The Champ” and “#1”. He will be profoundly missed but greatly remembered for his ever ready smile and contagious laughter that touched all whom he encountered. Besides his parents, Giovanni is also survived by his sisters Caterina (Peter) Letizia and Vittoria Verardi, all of Calgary; his nephew Christopher Letizia and his niece Grace Berg; grandparents Giuseppe and Vittoria Barberio of Calgary. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles Giuseppina and Paulo Deminico, Giuseppe and Vicky Verardi, Serafino Verardi, Rosa and Claudio Raho, Antonio and Shauna Barberio, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles in Calgary and Italy. He was predeceased by his grandparents Giovanni and Caterina Verardi.
