Obituary of Valorie Joan Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valorie (Val) Joan Smith (nee Douglas), beloved wife of Ross E. Smith of Calgary, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at her home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 55 years. Val will be remembered for her generosity, creativity and love of life which was infectious and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. With her love of digital photography, Val left us with a collection of pictures she so enjoyed taking. Memories we will have forever. Valorie is survived by her husband of thirty six years Ross, her son and daughter-in-law Jason and Karen, daughter and son-in-law Kerri and Matthew, grandchildren Paige and Halie. She will also forever be remembered by her two sisters; Jackie (Ray) Ehrhardt, June (Dennis) Duncan, two brothers; Con (Marg) Douglas and Chuck (Karen) Douglas. Valorie was predeceased by her mother; Elizabeth Curry in 2000 and her step-father; Lorne Curry in 1980.
