Obituary of Raw Eater

Our daddy went home to Glory at 3:30 a.m. in the morning of November 2, 2007 with his arms stretched out towards heaven, at the age of 78 years. His life was dedicated to his ministry. Blizzarding, rain or shine, he still had his services along with his lifetime wife, Cecilia. Dick leaves behind his children, Liz (Adrian) Big Old Man, Ricky Raw Eater, Naomi Raw Eater, Sarah (Wesley) Three Suns, Miriam (Dewayne) Three Suns, Rhoda (Perry) Williston, Sandra (Lawrence) Old Woman, Irwin (Brenda) Big Old Man, and Dewayne (Sharon) Big Old Man all of Siksika. He is also survived by his two brothers, Wilton (Donna) Raw Eater of Siksika and Leonard Solway of Strathmore. Dick is survived by forty-five grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and also many nephews, nieces and cousins. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Art Calling Last, Vincent (Vicki) Yellow Old Woman. Relatives, Brasses, Maguires, Breakers, Wolf Legs, Wolf Ears, Pretty Young Men, Many Bears, Calfs and Stimsons. The family would like to thank Pastor Dean Shingoose for his support and care. Pastor Dick’s family wish to apologize for anyone they may have missed. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Dick Raw Eater (Siksika Nation, AB) on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 6:00p.m. Funeral Services will be celebrated at Siksika Community Centre, Siksika Nation, AB on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
