Obituary of Rose Barbara Dundas

After a full and wonderful life, Rose Dundas passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Rose was born in Kendall, SK on February 7, 1917 to the late Barbara and Nicholas Mayer. She received her Nursing Degree from Grey Nun’s Hospital in Regina, SK in 1940 and then moved to Vancouver BC to pursue her nursing career. Rose returned to Saskatchewan and married Harold Dundas in 1946. They farmed outside of Francis, SK from 1946 until 1972. While Harold worked the family farm, Rose was a Public Health nurse with the Province of Saskatchewan. Rose was an avid golfer and was well known in the curling circles. She was an active member of the Kensington Legion and attended Woodcliff United Church until her passing. Rose is survived by her two sisters, Sabina Rehbein of Coquitlam, BC and Veronica Humberson of Phoenix, AZ and by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Woodcliff United Church (5010 Spruce Drive S.W.) on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
