Obituary of Doris Frances Linton

Doris Linton, beloved wife of the late Walter Linton of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Born in Stoke on Trent, England, Doris married Walter during the war years and in 1946 Doris joined her husband in Canada. Doris loved helping people and was especially fond of the nights she spent volunteering for Inn from the Cold. Her charitable efforts were also extended to St. Augustine’s Anglican Church. Doris especially enjoyed her long walks with “Nellie”. Those whose lives she touched will remember her as open, trusting, having a good sense of humour, and always opening her life to all. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her son Darrell and daughter-in-law Colleen of Calgary; her six grandchildren, Stacey (Jeff), Amy, Brandy, Jennifer (Daniel), Christine (Jay), and Jamie; and her three great-grandchildren, Rori, Makayla and Dominick. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and her son Terry.
