Obituary of Shawn Rocky Ross Bursey

Shawn Rocky Ross Bursey of Calgary, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007 at the age of 45 years. Rocky was born on February 14, 1962 in Botwood, NF, he was raised and educated in Lewisporte. He was employed in the hotel industry which took him to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, and then to Calgary in 2001. While in Calgary, Rocky began employment with the Royal Bank as an Investment Banker. Rocky will be remembered as a fun loving person who loved joking with people and being a light hearted prankster. Besides his partner Haithem Elkadiki of Calgary, Rocky is remembered by his brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Beatrice Bursey of Fort McMurray, AB; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beulah Oake of Deer Lake, NF, Bowena and John Hodder of Brantford, ON, Joy Atkinson of Embree, NF, Peggy Bursey of Nova Scotia, Marilyn and Kevin Conners of Fort McMurray, AB, Judy and Rodney Nelson of Edmonton, AB and Pauline Bursey of Lewisporte, NF. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends. Rocky was predeceased by his parents Frank and Florence Bursey, by his brother David Bursey and by his brother-in-law Eddie Oake.
