Obituary of Justito M. Bernardo

Justito (Jojie) Bernardo passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Foothills Medical Centre at the age of 47 years. Jojie was born on December 30, 1959 in Calapan City, Or. Mindoro, Philippines. He graduated from Adamson University in Manila as a Civil Engineer. In June 1982 Jojie moved to Canada to begin his new life. He met his wife Chona and they were married on August 18, 1990. In 2002 he moved to California for a job contract with his family and settled there for four years. Jojie then came back to Calgary in the summer of 2006. He enjoyed and had a passion for carpentry. Jojie will surely be missed by all those he touched including his family, friends, and co-workers who were close to him. Jojie is survived by his wife of seventeen years Chona Turingan Bernardo; by his two wonderful children, Bradley James and Anjelle Leigh; and by six siblings, Marilou (Jesse and Jaymar), Cesar (Estrella, Mike, Angela, Talon, Lorie and Aris), Eva, Ludemar, Amy (Zibby), and Marleth (Luis and JT). Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
