Obituary of Black Kettle

It is with great sorrow that the family of Alvin Francis Black Kettle announces his passing on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the age of 20 years. Alvin was born in Calgary, AB on February 20, 1987, and resided in Calgary his entire life. Alvin is survived by his common-law wife Nikita and two sons Rayden and Tyrese; twin sister Tiffany and younger sister Angela; his parents Alvin Herbie Conrad (Del) and his mother Shirley Wolf Leg; his other sister Trudy; aunties, Mabel Thomas, Mary Black Kettle, Rosalyn Wolf Leg, and Andrea Wolf Leg; uncles, Danny Black Kettle, Faron Wolf Leg and Michael; great-aunts, Kathy, Wanda, and Marie; great-uncles, Bruce Calf Robe, Edward Calf Robe and Simon Prairie Chicken; as well as numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters, Tenille and Tammy; grandparents, Francis Black Kettle, Bona Black Kettle, Carla and Richard Wolf Leg; aunts, Noella Winnipeg and Beverly Melting Tallow; uncles, Kenneth, Roy, Francis, Alec and Jerome; and cousins, Leslie Bear Chief and Melinda Winnipeg. The family would like to apologize for anyone that they have missed. Wake Services will be held today, November 2, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the residence of Aaron Melting Tallow (Siksika Nation, AB). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery.
