Obituary of Bernita Margaret Agnes Holden

Bernita Holden, beloved wife of John Holden of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the age of 71 years. Bernita was born July 11, 1936 in Regina, SK and grew up on the family farm near Preeceville, SK. She moved to Saskatoon to attend University. After graduating with a business diploma she managed the Saskatchewan Office of the Progressive Conservative Party. After marrying, she moved to Regina and managed an architect’s office and later stayed home to raise a family. She was very involved in Girl Guides and loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed gardening, camping and walking in Fish Creek Park while looking for the first crocus of spring. Bernita passed away after a 10 month battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn her husband of 45 years, John; a son, Bill (Jana); and daughter, Margaret (Bryan); as well as three grandchildren. She will be missed beyond words.
