Obituary of Dennis Stewart Woods

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Woods of Calgary at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dennis worked as a Millwright at the CPR Ogden Shops until his retirement in 1991 and more recently could be seen around western Canada with his M&M Meat Shops companion “Max the Bull”. Dennis touched many lives and will be lovingly remembered as a gentle and hard working man. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-six years, Sylvia and their children Jeff (Kerri) Woods and Jackie (Kevin) Gruber; his grandchildren Stephanie, Torri, Tayden and Jordan; his brother Al (Elaine) and family; and numerous extended family and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his grandson Jacee Dennis in 1996. Funeral Services will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Rosedale Hospice.
