Obituary of Ronald Eldon Bennett

Ronald Bennett, beloved husband of Irene of Calgary, passed away on October 19, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Ron was born in Carstairs AB. He met and married they love of his life Irene Broski. They built their home in Calgary where they have lived to this date. He will be forever remembered for his unconditional love and devotion to his wife Irene of 58 years his three daughters and six grandchildren. One of Ron’s greatest joys was spent touching the lives of all those around him. Ron started working at the age of 15 at Union Packing until they closed their doors many years later. He then worked for Calgary CO-OP which he later retired from. Ron had many passions including fishing, curling and bowling with his greatest passion being family get togethers and swimming. He delighted in sharing his many stories touching all those around him. Ron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Besides his loving wife Irene he is remembered by his three daughters and two sons-in-law Sandie (Dexter), Wanda (Dave) and Fran (Lance); six grandchildren Tanya, Jason, Derick, Krista, Kyler and Alissa. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Joyce Bennett. Ron was predeceased by his five brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
