Obituary of Robert Laurance Friesen

It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Friesen announces his passing on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the age of 58 years, after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Bob’s favourite pastimes included spending time with his family, working out with his best buddy Geoff, and watching the Leafs and Eskimos play on TV. He had a very successful, thirty-plus year career as an Accountant with Petro Canada, where he was very highly respected and formed many cherished friendships. Bob’s strong influence within the company lent him the opportunity to work in Denver, Colorado for three years. He took home all those great memories when he returned to Calgary in the summer of 2007. Bob will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his loving wife Judy; daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Mark; sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Kelly and Bryson and Jade. He also leaves to mourn his passing his father Dave and wife Eva; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Charles; brothers and sisters-in-law, Percy and Flo, Gerry and Kathy, Jo-Ann, Jacqueline, Dale, and David; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
