Obituary of Annette Sylvia Loykowski

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Annette Sylvia Loykowski, beloved wife of Charles of Calgary, announce her passing on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the age of 48 years. Annette was born on April 11, 1959 in Victoria, BC to Maria and John Kraczkowski. She married Charles Edmond Loykowski on September 12, 1981 at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria, BC. On Christmas day 1984, Annette’s gift was giving birth to her son Jason Charles, and sixteen months later was blessed with her daughter Felicia Maria. Annette lived and travelled throughout Canada and loved the country, finally settling in Calgary where she made many friends. She was an avid supporter of the Canadian Armed Forces (Red Shirt Friday), the secretary for the local PPCLI Association and a member of a home stitching group where she made baby blankets for the Peter Lougheed Centre. Annette will be remembered by the gang at A&W as well as her coworkers at St. Francis High School and Wal-Mart. She will not only be missed by her family but also the many people she touched with her kindness. Annette was always a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen when support was needed. Besides her loving husband Charles, Annette is remembered by her son Jason and daughter Felicia. She is also survived by her parents Maria and John Kraczkowski, her younger sister Lucy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Drive N.W.) on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
