Obituary of Rudolph Joseph Lieskovsky

Rudolph (Rudy) Lieskovsky, beloved husband of fifty-four years to Marlene (nee Tigner) of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Rudy was born in Cimhova, Czechoslovakia and moved to Hillcrest, Alberta with his family in 1933. He graduated from Bellevue High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from The University of Oklahoma in 1949. He received his Professional Geologist designation from the A.P.E.G.G.A. in 1975. Rudy worked in the oil business in exploration geology throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta for several years before moving to Libya with Marlene where he worked for two years before retiring. Besides his loving wife, Marlene, Rudy is survived by his four sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen, David and Vivian, Mark and Louise, Michael; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Shaun, Heather; and his dedicated dog, Maggie.
