Obituary of Doris Grace Herringshaw

Surrounded by loving family, Doris Grace Herringshaw (nee Osborne) of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007, just prior to her seventy-fifth birthday. Doris was born in Calgary and was raised by her Auntie Ruth and Uncle Leonard. She is fondly remembered as a gentle, caring woman, possessing quiet strength beyond expectation. Her greatest loves were her family, friends and music. Doris was an accomplished pianist who touched many with her gift. Walking her dog Buddy, baking, bowling, and playing bridge with long-time friends were also sources of great enjoyment for her. She was also a dedicated employee of Sears for over twenty-five years. Doris is survived by her four children and their spouses, Patti and Myles Crozier, Kathy and Don Blood, Janet and Gord Hoover, and Glen Herringshaw. She was remarkably devoted to her grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Christina, Jocelyn, Ashley, and Michael; as well as her four great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Doris’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
