Obituary of Geraldine Bulla

May your journey be gentle and filled with love A woman of extraordinary grace and beauty, Ida Geraldine (Vickery) Bulla passed away in Calgary on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 with her daughter Pam Bulla and son-in-law Scot Bullick at her side. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 1, 1923, Gerry graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. On March 1, 1950 she married the love of her life C. James (Jim) Bulla and two years later gave birth to Pamela. Gerry was a loving and devoted wife and mother who took exceptional pride in her family and home. In the summer of 1969, the Bulla family was transferred to Calgary where Jim continued to work in the Oil and Gas industry as a diplomatic and respectful contract negotiator. In 1973 they were once again transferred, back to the United States, to Denver, CO where they lived for the next twenty-seven years until Jim’s passing in August of 1999. After Jim’s passing Gerry returned to Calgary to live near her daughter and son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter Pam; son-in-law Scot; step-grandchildren, Amanda and Aaron Bullick; sister-in-law Midge Vickery; nephews, Warren and Bill Vickery; and her dear cousin Peggy MacKellar who she loved like a sister. She will also be remembered and missed by her friends and entire family. Gerry was pre-deceased by her mother and father Ruth (Dillon) and Warren Moses Vickery, her brother Warren Vickery and by her beloved husband Jim. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Deanne’s playful, loving spirit and attention to detail most certainly enhanced the quality of Gerry’s life. Thanks also to Margaret Domzal, Gerry’s homecare provider prior to her stay at the Intercare Chinook Care Centre.
