Obituary of Raffaele Tennina

Raffaele (Ralph) Tennina, beloved husband of Rita Tennina (nee Conte) of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Ralph was born on September 17, 1925 in Boiano (Campobasso), Italy and immigrated to Toronto in 1954 and later to Calgary in 1977. Ralph had a very entrepreneurial spirit. He would consider his children to be his greatest achievement and he was extremely proud of his granddaughter Jennifer. Ralph enjoyed Our Lady of Grace Seniors Italian Club, Sunday dinner with his family, wine-making, wood-working, gardening, and playing cards and Bocce ball. Besides his loving wife Rita, Ralph is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Doreen and Tom De Filippo; son and daughter-in-law Joe and Grace Tennina; and granddaughter Jennifer Tennina and her fiancé Arthur Chocholacek, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his sister Antoinetta Priolo of Italy; brother Leo (Antoinetta) Tennina of Toronto; sister Maria (Andrea) Cavallin of Toronto; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Donato and Giuseppe Tennina.
