Obituary of David Kenneth Jones

David Kenneth Jones of Calgary passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the age of 49 years. Dave was born in Lethbridge, AB on February 28, 1958. He lived in Whitecourt, AB for about four years where he loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by a daughter Tiffany Leah (19) of Charlottetown, PEI; his mom and dad June and Kenneth Jones of Leduc, AB; two sisters, Cheryl (Dan) Venne of Leduc and Vicky Jones of Calgary; nieces Samantha Venne of Leduc, Tracy Suffesick of Calgary and Christie Jones of Edmonton, AB; nephews, Adam (Cherry) Jones of Leduc and Ryan Suffesick of Calgary; a great-niece Nikki Web; and great-nephew Vincent William Jones. David joins his sister who predeceased him in 1962 and a brother William Elmer in 2002. He will be laid to rest with his other siblings in the Vulcan Cemetery. David will long be remembered for his undying sense of humour and his genuine kindness. He had spent the past year at Everglades Recovery Centre near Stony Plain, AB, returning to Calgary in September of 2007. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The Jones family wish to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Alpha House for their kindness and support over the past many years. Because of them David thought of Calgary as his home.
