Obituary of Raymond Stuart Fraser

Raymond (Ray) Fraser of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the age of 74 years. Raymond was born in Swalwell, AB. He was a dedicated employee who was not afraid of hard work. This saw his career span over many years and included driving for Greyhound Bus Lines, Diversified Transportation, hauling fuel throughout B.C. and Alberta for Mohawk, working for the City of Calgary and retiring with the Armed Forces as a Civil Servant. Dad’s main purpose in life was to always take care of his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Throughout Ray’s life he always had a passion for horses and dogs. We will all miss your long visits and telephone calls and the great advice you always had to give. We are the people we are today because of you Dad! You are the best Dad in the world and you will be sorely missed. Raymond leaves behind his son Bradley Fraser and his partner Diana Hussey from Calgary, daughter Karen Fraser from Medicine Hat, and daughter Debbie and her partner John Eckenswiller also from Calgary. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lisa Weller (Cesar Ponce) from Medicine Hat, Murray Weller of Calgary, Brianne Powell of Calgary, and his very special great-grandson Colby McCartney of Medicine Hat. Raymond is also survived by his brothers and sisters. At Raymond’s request there will be no formal service held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Special thanks goes out to Dad’s neighbours Rachelle, Troy and Roberto who were always there for him, your kindness will never be forgotten. The family also wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff at the Rockyview General Hospital especially Pam and Leanne who took wonderful care of our Dad to the end.
