Obituary of Anita Audrey Hunter

Anita Audrey Hunter (nee Gillies), beloved wife of Jack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2007 having lived a long and rewarding life. Anita and Jack were happily married for fifty-seven years, with her main focus in life being her family. Anita was an avid and accomplished curler and golfer. She was well known in these circles in both Calgary and St. Albert. Anita was truly loved by her family and friends and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Anita is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her four children and their spouses, Lorraine and Colin Branston, Bob and Charlene Hunter, Jim and Gail Hunter, Judy and Mike Smith; by her eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Pauline Evans, and Eileen Mos. Anita was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Ina Gillies of Peace River. A Celebration of Anita’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle, N.W.) on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
