Obituary of Susan Margaret Cook

Susan Cook, beloved wife of Ken Cook of Calgary, passed away after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the age of 50 years. Susan, born and raised in Calgary, was a very independent woman; full of life. She had a love of horses, jewellery and a true entrepreneurial spirit. At any time you could find her managing horse shows; bookkeeping for up to five companies; gold and diamond jewellery design business; Canadian tire gas stations and the Alberta Hunter Horse Society. During the last years of her life, she never once lost her contagious smile or her sense of humour. Susan would always give you the “Thumbs up” and was usually her doctor’s and caregiver’s favourite patient. Susan always had time for her family, which was her pride and joy and her son’s Ryan and Tyler, who always have and always will continue to make her proud. (She will always be with you.) Susan is survived by her loving husband, Ken and sons Ryan and Tyler. Besides her husband and sons, Susan will forever be missed by her sister Trish Mrakawa; life-long friends, Pat and Maureen; as well as many relatives and friends she came to know. Susan was predeceased by her parents William and Marguerite Wolley-Dod. At the request of the family there will be no Funeral Services. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
