Obituary of De Iure

Pierino De Iure passed away peacefully at the Southwood Care Centre on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the age of 93 years. Pierino was born on June 21, 1914 in Ortona, Italy and married Anna Aspreno in 1934. Pierino and Anna survived the displacement and devastation of World War II, along with the loss of an infant son, and built a life in agriculture. In 1982 they immigrated to Calgary to live their later years with their surviving son and his family. Pierino was devoted to his family and was deeply loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. Pierino will be lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law Romano and Filomena De Iure; his grandchildren Mery (Tony) de Somma, and Raniero (Lorrie) De Iure; his great-grandchildren Emilia and Silvia de Somma; and by his sister Yolanda Ciccone, of Toronto, ON. Pierino was predeceased by his wife Anna in 2002, his brother Luigi, and his sister Nicoletta D?Alessandro.
