Obituary of Melvin Robert MacKenzie

Mel MacKenzie, beloved husband of Anne MacKenzie of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Mel MacKenzie was born and raised in Souris, PEI. He joined the Canadian Bank of Commerce and his career with the bank spanned forty-six years. Mel’s career took him to many different locations but most of his career was spent in Calgary and Edmonton. He volunteered many hours with the Diabetes Association (Foothills). Besides his loving wife Anne, Mel is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jim MacKenzie, Grant and Jody MacKenzie; and two grandchildren, Adrienne and Alex. He is also survived by a sister Marion Large; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wally and Arlene McKenzie, Alton and Isabel McKenzie. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Nativity Anglican Church (12707 Bonaventure Drive S.E.) on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
