Obituary of Michael Basar

Michael Basar of Calgary passed away with family at his side, at the Foothills Medical Centre, at the age of 77 years. Immigrating to Canada in 1961, Michael began working for CP Rail in 1962 and worked there until his retirement in 1987. He was proud to have worked for CP Rail and was grateful for the opportunities given to him. He was a kind and generous man. He welcomed all who came in to his home with open arms and he treasured family time. “A Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather,What a Beautiful Memory You Left Behind” Michael is survived by the love of his life, his wife Carol; devoted daughter Josephine Mihoc; granddaughters, Tina Mihoc and Amy Mihoc-Barnes and her husband Ryan; and great-granddaughter Mia, who is his namesake and the light of his life.
